Pick a stop point before you start
A run has a natural end: the vault that beats you. Decide in advance how many runs you will play (three is a good number) and stop there, even if the last one went well.
Rest your eyes
Peg colours and small pips ask a lot of your eyes. Every twenty minutes or so, look at something far away for half a minute and blink. Turn the screen brightness down at night.
Keep it out of bedtime
Logic puzzles keep the mind busy, which is the opposite of what sleep needs. Close the game a while before bed. Your run is saved, so the vault will still be there tomorrow.
Scores are only scores
Points, ranks and streaks exist to make a good round feel good. They have no cash value, cannot be traded and do not make you better or worse than anyone. If a missed streak leaves you annoyed rather than amused, that is a good moment for a break.
For adults
The site is meant for players aged 18 and over. If younger people use your phone, you can remove the home-screen icon and clear the site's data from your browser settings.
When a game stops being fun
If you notice you are playing to avoid something, or losing sleep or time you needed, talk to someone you trust. A few days away from screens is a reasonable reset. Questions or worries can also reach us through the contact page.
